Clipping Earnings & Platform Pay Guides

"How much do views pay?" has a different answer on every platform, and most of the numbers passed around online are screenshots without context. TikTok's Creator Rewards Program, YouTube Shorts ad revenue sharing, X's creator payouts and Instagram's bonuses each use their own eligibility rules and their own definition of a qualified view. Clipping campaigns add a separate layer on top: a brand or streamer pays a set rate per 1,000 or per 1,000,000 views, usually with a per-clip cap and a minimum.

This hub collects every guide we have written on what views actually earn, what clippers and page owners make, how clipping income is taxed, and which tools clippers use to produce more clips in less time. Good places to start are how much clippers actually make, TikTok Creator Rewards RPM, YouTube Shorts RPM, whether Instagram pays for views and X Original Content Rewards.

If you would rather run the numbers than read about them, our free tools do the math in your browser: the clipping earnings calculator, the TikTok money calculator, the YouTube Shorts money calculator, the Instagram Reels money calculator and the X creator earnings calculator. Each one shows the rates it uses and where they come from.

How to read the numbers

Treat any earnings figure as a range, not a promise. Platform payouts move with advertiser demand, audience country, niche and watch time, and clipping campaigns only pay on views that pass review. We quote rates only where a platform or campaign publishes them, and we say when a figure is an estimate. For the practical side of joining campaigns, getting approved and getting paid, see the creator guides hub.
