View Authenticity Checker for Reels & TikTok

Paste in a post's public numbers. The checker compares its engagement ratios with published platform benchmarks and gives a bot-risk score with the reasons behind it. It is a heuristic screen, not proof. Everything runs in your browser.

Tip: shorthand works (250k, 1.2m). Leave shares or saves empty if you can't see them; the checker skips what it doesn't have.

Enter at least views, likes and comments to see the ratios and a risk score.

How the checker works

Purchased views are cheap to add and expensive to disguise. A seller can push a play counter up by a hundred thousand, but matching likes, real comments, shares and saves in believable proportions costs far more. So the fastest screen for fake views is to ask whether the rest of the post keeps up with the view count. The checker computes five ratios, compares each with public benchmarks, and adds points to a 0 to 100 risk score when a ratio sits outside the usual range.

The formulas

Engagement rate (per view) = (likes + comments + shares + saves) ÷ views × 100
Like rate = likes ÷ views × 100
Comments per 100 likes = comments ÷ likes × 100
Shares + saves per 100 likes = (shares + saves) ÷ likes × 100
Reach multiple = views ÷ followers
Velocity = views ÷ hours since posting

The benchmarks it uses

MetricBenchmarkSource
TikTok engagement per view3.85% (Q2 2026); 3.75% to 4.40% by account size in 2025Socialinsider, 2M videos
Instagram Reels engagement per view2.7%Dash Social 2026 report
TikTok comments per 100 likesabout 1.3 (100 comments vs 7,900 likes, 100K to 1M accounts)Socialinsider
TikTok shares per 100 likesabout 6 (477 vs 7,900, same tier)Socialinsider

The comment and share ratios are derived from Socialinsider's published per-post averages, so read them as rough midpoints. Reels benchmarks measured per follower (Socialinsider reports 0.48% in Q2 2026) are not comparable with per-view rates, which is why the checker only uses per-view figures.

What raises the score

Posts under about 1,000 views get a low-confidence label because small numbers swing wildly. Niche matters too: meme and sports clips often run lower engagement per view than tutorials, so one amber flag on its own is not a verdict.

What this tool can't see

Public counters only tell you proportions. The strongest signals, audience country, traffic source and watch time, live in the account owner's insights. At FindClout every page must clear a 40% US-audience floor, proven by the creator connecting the Instagram account itself so the audience data comes straight from Instagram, and every post goes through AI plus human review. FAQ

Can this tool prove that views are fake?

No. It flags numbers that look unusual so you know which posts to check by hand. Proof needs platform-side data such as audience country, traffic sources and retention, which only the account owner can see.

What is a normal engagement rate for a Reel or TikTok?

Per view, Socialinsider puts the average TikTok at 3.85% in Q2 2026, and Dash Social puts Instagram Reels at 2.7%. Niche, format and post size move these a lot, so treat them as a midpoint, not a pass mark.

Why does a very high engagement rate also raise the score?

Bought likes and comment pods push engagement above what the view count supports. It is not impossible for a real post, but it is rare enough to deserve a look, especially when the comments are short and generic.

Does a post getting far more views than followers mean it is botted?

Not on its own. Reels and TikTok distribute to non-followers, so real viral posts routinely beat follower count many times over. The checker only adds risk when that reach comes with weak engagement.

Is my data stored?

No. The calculation runs entirely in your browser and nothing you type is sent anywhere.

Buying views? Pay only for verified ones.

FindClout is a clipping network: vetted pages, verified audiences, and brands pay for verified views only. Nothing goes live without the brand's approval, and a brand can remove any post or creator at any time.
